Crisco Pound Cake Recipe

She made this one a lot and sometimes she add nuts or she would put chocolate icing on it and sometimes she did both, But I liked it best plain with peaches on my slice. Ingredients

1 cup crisco lard

2 cups sugar

6 eggs

1-1/2 tsp. vanilla

2 cups plain flour, sifted

Directions

Preheat oven at 350F.

Cream sugar and crisco.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each one.

Add vanilla and flour.

Mix well.

Bake in a tube pan for 1 hour.

Has a crusty top when done.

1 1/2 Cup flour and 1/2 cup cocoa and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. After baking drizzle with confectioner sugar icing. 1 cup confectioners sugar thinned with a couple tablespoons coffee. Serve with a scoop of ice cream and a little Hershey's Syrup.
