The Beast Sub Sandwich

My mom used to make these as appetizers for her holiday parties.Always a hit!
Ingredients
- Qty (2): 3 FT long (yes,3 feet) sub bread (mom used to special order these from the bakery) shopping list
- 1 bottle of Wish-Bone Italian dressing shopping list
- 2 lbs.each: krakus ham,hard salami shopping list
- 1 lb.American cheese shopping list
- 1 lb.swiss cheese shopping list
- 1 lb.sliced pepperoni shopping list
- 1 whole head of shredded lettuce shopping list
- 5-6 large ripe sliced tomatoes shopping list
- 2 medium-large red onions,sliced very thin shopping list
- 1 jar Hellman's mayo (please no Miracle Whip-the taste is not supposed to be sweet) shopping list
- 1 large jar pepperoncinis shopping list
- 2 large cans sliced black olives shopping list
- black pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Sliced bread horizontally,set aside.
- Pour a decent amount of italian dressing on bottom side of bread.
- Sprinkle w/black pepper.
- Generously layer as follows:ham,american,pepperoni,tomatoes,salami,swiss,lettuce,
- black olives,red onions,pepperoncinis.
- Sprinkle more black pepper on top.
- Spread a good amount of mayo on the top layer of bread.
- Wrap tightly in saran wrap and chill for approx 2-3hrs.
- Unwrap and slice into 2" segments.
- Spike toothpicks thru tops of sanwiches to hold them together.
- Serves...alot!
