Honey Cornmeal Biscuits

- 1 3/4 cups Bisquick baking mix shopping list
- 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 2 tablespoons honey shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 450 degrees F
- Mix all ingredients until soft dough forms, beat 30 seconds.
- Turn dough onto surface dusted with baking mix, gently roll in baking mix to coat.
- Shape into a ball; knead 10 times
- Roll 1/2 inch thick
- Cut with 2 inch cutter dipped in baking mix
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet until golden brown.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes
- Serve with additional honey or Honey Butter(below)
- 12 biscuits

- After beating, drop dough by rounded spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet.
- Bake until golden brown
- 10 -12 minutes
- HIGH ALTITUDE: HEAT OVEN TO 475 DEGREES
- **HONEY BUTTER**
- Beat 1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
- 1/4 cup honey, and if desired, 1/2 teaspoon greated orange peel until fluffy

Sounds great, especially with the honey butter. Makes me remember, when I was I child, Mama used to sometimes buy honey butter at the grocery store. I thought it was such a treat! I'm trying to remember the brand name to see if they still make it....more
