I NEVER thought I'd be submitting a recipe for Bat Soup to the group!!! NO, I would never eat anything closely resembling a bat and this posting is all in fun.

Oh wow...I'm gonna say great post! Don't know if I would eat it but I am a Survivor fan...they are in Micronesia right now. One of the survivor's ate this stuff, well, I don't know if it was this recipe but it was bat soup. He said it's not that bad after you take the skin off...LOL

Omg ...i would never eat it but some would i thought it was interesting tho thanks i have to rate it a 5 for interesting .lol

With a name like Bat Soup I had to look!
Ferri

Bats are too cool to eat! :) (I love hearing them on summer nights.) This reminded me of a cookbook my mom has...the roadkill cookbook. Never made anything from it of course, but it's fun to flip through. :)

Where the heck did you find this recipe!! You never know it might not be that bad.

Here in Brazil there is a brand of yogurt called BatMilk. Even though it's made of regular cow's milk, the name makes me smile every time I pass it in the grocery store. When I saw the name of this recipe, I just had to take a look and I'm having a good laugh. However, I honestly would never eat bats!

I'd rather eat a baseball bat.

What can I say Lor? I am so honored:) LOL

Sorry Lor gotta pass on this one little to rich for me Ha.

Hi, Lor
Gotta give this a 5 for interesting as well! Some cultures eat things we wouldn't dream of eating!
Very interesting!

If it involves garlic, it has to be good! Fun Post

Who would low ball this recipe? My gosh, I wouldn't eat bat. Nope, I'd never, NEVER eat bat but I'm giving you a 5 for originality. I must say, I'm right there with rml because I LOVE garlic LOL

Ewwwwwww, I can't imagine but you've got my 5. Like Peepers said, it's certainly original lol

I wonder how many martini's I'd have to have to try this?
Love the post...Bob

Had to look, cuz I'm a Survivor fan too! They are in Micronesia, and one of the Survivors has eaten a bat soup more than once...but you could see the whole bat in what he ate....ICK! Fun post! Thanks for sharing.

Great to add some humor to Grouprecipes! ... We can have a cook off with my opossum! LOL
Keep having fun!

Oh, Lor. I could never eat this stuff, coconut milk just does not agree with me!

HOLY MOLY, LOR GIRL!! I love it!!LOL

That's what I am talking about... Long live the scary foods of the world!

Hahahaha... this is too much and I never thought I'd see a recipe such as this one here. I got the biggest charge out of reading Bat Soup. You are hilarious! 5 from me

And people thought roast turtle was strange? :}
But seriously, in some places its eat what you've got or starve. And Daddy always said, "Try everything once." Good thing there aren't any fruit bats in South Dakota. Eww.

Now this is unusual! Although I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole but you've got my 5 because it's unique ;)

You got my 5, but I decline an invitation to dinner. Good post..love the unusual ones.

If i was a judge i would order you to go to bat abuse counseling and bat education class and to install a bat house on your garage. and you would thank me later. holly
