Carriage House Okra Fritters

- 1 6oz. package of "HUSH PUPPY" Mix shopping list
- 2 cups sliced fresh okra (OR) frozen, defrosted shopping list
- 1 small onion, minced shopping list
- salt and cayenne pepper, to taste shopping list
- vegetable oil for frying shopping list
How to make it
- Mix Hush Puppy mix according to package directions.
- Add okra, minced onion, salt and cayenne and mix well.
- In a skillet heat the oil and drop the Hush Puppy mixture
- 1 Tbsp. at a time, frying like pancakes until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels.

I have been looking for a good fried okra recipe. I can never find one where the batter will stick properly. They usually fall apart. This one sounds perfect! Can't wait to try it!
