How to make it

  • In a bowl, whisk together the half-and-half, mayo and egg white until well-blended. Add the dry mustard, Worcestershire, lemon juice, Tabasco, green ions, bell pepper and salt; stir until well-blended. GENTLY fold in the crabmeat and 1/2 c. of the bread crumbs until well blended.
  • In a small bowl, combine the remaining bread crumbs with the melted butter and mix well.
  • Divide crab mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into patties. Coat each in the breadcrumb and butter mixture and coat lightly.
  • Fry crabcakes in oil and butter and brown on both sides. Serve immediately.

    Sounds really delicious! Do you use any particular replacement for breadcrumbs to make it wheat/gluten free for yourself?
