How to make it

  • Pan fry the pepperoni in skillet over medium heat, until the fat is rendered.
  • Dump to cool on double thickness paper towels. Pat off extra fat.
  • Make a standard blt, but use the crispy pepperoni instead of bacon. No pepper or salt needed, You get enough from the pepperoni.

    My sisters and I used to make "cooked salami" sandwiches too!!! We used the microwave but the result was the same...soooo yummy and crunchy.

    That's too funny, notcho - my mother actually introduced me to "fried pepperoni" several years back...I thought she was NUTS, until I tasted it - it's amazing when fried...crispy like bacon, salty and sooooo good. I never thought to use it in a sandwich - we just ate it "as is"...it would be FANTASTIC as a PLT - I cannot wait to try this!! You are too much, girl...

    This sounds good I actually have a ton of presliced pepperoni from last weekend and nothing to make for dinner tonite Ill give this a whirle.
