I found this recipe on a can of Carnation evaporated milk. It is fabulous! My neighbors can't get enough. Like a giant Twix bar...

Ingredients
- Base:
- 7 oz shorbread or digestive cookies, crushed
- 1 oz butter, melted
- Caramel filling:
- 5 oz butter
- 5 oz dark brown sugar
- 14 oz can condensed milk
- Topping:
- 7 oz milk chocolate, melted
Directions
- Line with baking parchment or grease an 8 inch square brownie tin.
- Base:
- Mix crushed cookies with 1 oz melted butter.
- Press into tin for base. Make an even layer.
- Chill for 20 minutes.
- Caramel filling:
- In a non-stick pan mix the butter and brown sugar and stir over medium heat until butter melts and sugar dissolves.
- Add the condensed milk and stir until bubbles appear on surface. Remove from heat as soon as it comes to a boil.
- Spread evenly on cookie base and chill for about an hour.
- Topping:
- Melt milk chocolate and spread evenly over top of cooled caramel mixture.
- Let topping cool, then slice and serve.
