Dallas Nachos Dip Recipe
This simple homemade cooking gives nachos a good name. Your guests will think you slaved.

Ingredients
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 1/2 cups canned tomatoes
  • 1 can chopped green chilies
  • 1 lb. velveta cheese
  • salt to taste
  • hot pepper sauce to taste

Directions
  1. In skillet brown onion slowly in butter with garlic.
  2. When onion turns brown, add tomatoes.
  3. Mash down as juice cooks away.
  4. When the mixture is very thick, add chili peppers and cheese (cut in small chunks).
  5. Cook over very low heat, stirring frequently.
  6. Add pepper sauce or picante sauce to mixture to spice it up.

Great post, I much prefer the plain tomatoes, and canned green chiles to the Rotel...even the mild Rotel is toooo spicey for me! Thanks so much for sharing this.


Rotelle tomatoes would be an asset to this!


I love these kind of recipes that make it seem like we slaved all day over a hot stove! Throw some flour in your hair and there ya go!
