Green Beans with Bacon and Onion Sauce

- 1 lb. green beans, fresh or frozen - I use fresh shopping list
- 1 c. boiling salted water shopping list
- 6 slices bacon, diced shopping list
- 1 small onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 T. flour shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 1 - 1 1/2 T. vinegar shopping list
How to make it
- Cook beans in salted water, drain & save liquid. Saute bacon; add onion & cook until soft. Discard all but 1 T. bacon grease - stir in flour and cook until lightly browned. Add 1 c. liquid and cook until sauce is smooth. Add vinegar and pour sauce over beans.
