Tortellini Fagioli With White Wine And Much Garlic

- 15 large cloves of garlic smashed and peeled shopping list
- Half and onion chopped shopping list
- 1 oz of red bell pepper sliced thin shopping list
- Three tablespoons fresh orwegano10 to 12 large fresh basil leaves. shopping list
- 6 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 2 tablespoons of sweet butter shopping list
- 2 oz of pine nuts shopping list
- 4 oz of tortellini shopping list
- 4 oz of rigatoni shopping list
- 6 oz of dried black-eyed peas shopping list
- 3 tablespoons of sea salt for the water. shopping list
- fresh ground black pepper to taste shopping list
- A pinch of hot pepper flakes shopping list
- 3 tablespoons of nutritional yeast shopping list
- *Grated romano cheese optional shopping list
How to make it
- First fill a large pot with cold water and bring to a boil add the beans and the salt and boil for 30n minutes. While the pot is boiling, make the sauce.
- After 30 minutes has passed, add the pasta and cook until aldente.
- For the sauce:
- In a saucepan, add the oil and the butter, pine nuts the garlic and the onion.
- Sauté until garlic is soft about 6 minutes add the wine and some of the pasta water
- Using a slotted spoon remove the pasta and the beans to the sauce pan and ad more liquid it should be a little on the watery side
- Finish the dish by adding the thin strips of red bell peppers
- Enjoy
