I layer thisquick easy light dessert in a trifle bowl. Looks beautiful. Great dessert for the 4th of July,;add a ring of blueberries on the top. This one has always been a big hit.

Ingredients
  • 1 angel food cake, torn in pieces
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can Comstock cherry pie filling

Directions
  1. In the trifle bowl, put half of the angel food cake
  2. Make a mixture of the instant pudding, the milk, the extract and the sour cream.
  3. Put half of this mixture on top of the cake pieces.
  4. Next put a layer of the pie filling, use half only.
  5. Repeat all of the layers.
  6. Chill well.

You probably won't believe this but, I actually made this tonight for dessert! I used fat free plain yogurt and skim milk to make it more heart healthy. My family doesn't know the difference! This is so easy and taste delicious!


This sounds incredible! I'd make it with sugar free stuff as much as possible. My step daughter is diabetic and can't have all of the extra sugar/carbs that the regular stuff has in it. I'm trying to reduce the sugar and carbs in our diets and still have a nice variety of foods. This is a must try recipe!
