Buddyscotch Chiffon Pie

- 1 envelope plain gelatin shopping list
- 1/4 cup cold water shopping list
- 3 eggs, separated shopping list
- 1 cup light brown sugar shopping list
- 1 cup scalded milk shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 baked 10" pie shell shopping list
- whipped cream shopping list
How to make it
- Soak gelatin in cold water 5 minutes.
- Beat egg yolks.
- Gradually beat in brown sugar, then beat in milk gradually.
- add butter and salt and cook in double boiler, stirring until custard-like....about 10 minutes.
- Stir in gelatin.
- Cool, then add vanilla
- Beat egg whites with sugar until stiff.
- Fold into mixture.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Cool and top with whipped cream.
- Serves 6-8
