Tinks Oriental Feast

THIS IS A NICE STIR FRY ..FULL OF VEGGIES AND FLAVOR
Ingredients
- 2- 3 - slices of fresh ginger .....chopped shopping list
- 1 - teaspoon sugar shopping list
- 1 - tablespoon cornstarch shopping list
- 2- tablespoons soy sauce shopping list
- 1/4- teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 - cup chicken stock shopping list
- 3 - carrots . thinly sliced on the diagonal shopping list
- 1 - green bell pepper.....thinly sliced shopping list
- 1- red bell pepper thinly sliced shopping list
- 1 - jar of minature corn on the cob, whole or cut halved lengthwise shopping list
- 1 - ( 8 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, .......drained.. shopping list
- 1/2 - cup .... radishes, thinly sliced shopping list
- 1- cup snow peas shopping list
- 1 - cup bean sprouts shopping list
- 5-6 - mushrooms , thinly sliced shopping list
- 4 -tablespoons peanut oil shopping list
- 2- cloves garlic shopping list
- 3 - tablespoons sherry ...... (or white cooking wine ) shopping list
- note from Tink..............for a little heat i add the oriental garlic chili paste ...i put 1 tsp or more .but do it to you taste buds or leave it out ......... shopping list
- sesame seeds............ shopping list
How to make it
- Mix ginger, sugar, cornstarch, soy sauce, salt and chicken stock; set aside.
- prepare each vegetable and set aside.
- add oil to a wok or large skillet and heat until a piece of ginger sizzles but does not burn.
- add garlic to the oil; stir for 30 to 40 second to flavor the oil, then remove the cloves.
- add carrots, peppers, and corn; stir fry 1 - 2 minutes.
- add water chestnuts and radishes; stirfry for 1 to 2 minutes.
- add snow peas, and bean sprouts, and mushrooms, stir fry for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- if the vegetables are cooking too quickly, lower the heat...
- add sherry... and the cornstarch mixture;
- stir until mixture thickens
- transfer vegetables to a serving platter sprinkle with sesame seed and serve with white steamed rice ........enjoy
- serves 8 to 10........depending on serving size........

Mini corn for mini. Thank you Mini for this flavorful vegetable recipe I will use a Dikon radish I have on hand. No chicken broth for me in case you are inviting me over, use veggie broth.
