We used to get these at a bar in Boothbay Harbor 10-15 years ago(maybe it was longer ago than that?) but people were getting into too much trouble so they banned them. They called them Cherry Bombs and it didn't take many to get you "bombed"!!! Thanks for some great(and some not so great) memories!! :)

What great fun. We used moonshine on Thanksgiving Day....put the fresh cherries in a gallon jar and soak them till Christmas Day. The Cherries would be placed on the dinner table (we called them Cherry Bombs) and the liquid was saved till New Years Eve.

"How wonderful"...she said while rubbing her hands together with delight.

So, can I drink the new and improved cherry juice out of the jar and then start all over again? Just asking....heh.

Maybe I should get 'several' jars of cherries.... ;-)

Oh, I've read about these things! Why not just call them Cherry Bombs?
