Got this one yrs ago from my mother-in-law. It's a good old fashion Texan sheet cake. It's quick easy to make and serves a crowd.

Ingredients
- 2 sticks oleo
- 4 Tbsp cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp soda
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- ICING: 1 stick oleo
- 6 Tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 Tbsp cocoa
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup nuts
Directions
- Melt the 2 sticks oleo, cocoa and water together.
- Add the next 6 ingredients. Mix.
- Pour into a 12 x 18 baking pan.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
- Mix the icing ingredients together; add more milk IF necessary. Spread on the cooled cake.

You could try butter or vegetable shortening. Also check out the vegan substitutes. Truthfully, I don't prefer desserts when it comes to food, BUT when I do prepare them, I always use butter for the best results.

This recipe is a great old stand-by, Tried and True! I have made this recipe using 1 stick unsalted butter and 1/2 cup Crisco! Very tender, and the real butter gives it that fabulous extra dimension! So good!

This is an oldie but a goldie! I love this cake ans I made one for Yesterdays dinner but left the nuts out of my icing.
