From toleliz 15 years agoIngredients
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- ½ tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cup washed and dried raisins shopping list
- 1 whole seeded orange, juice, rind, and pulp shopping list
- ½ cup shortening, room temp. shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
How to make it
- Sift flour, soda and salt together in a mixing bowl and add the raisins; toss to coat raisins. Place the seeded orange, cut in chunks, shortening, eggs, sugar, and sour cream in the blender or food processor. Turn on to make puree. Add puree to dry ingredients lightly and quickly. Pour into well greased tube pan and bake in 325 oven for 45 mins. While cake is still hot, pour over it a mix of ½ c orange juice and ½ c icing sugar. (I usually skip this step).
