This is an authentic Tortilla Soup. The Guajillo chiles really add the flavor. For some real heat habenaro or bhut jolokia pepper can be added. The ingredients are easy to find in a specialty store.

I love this recipe. Very authentic. It sounds delicious!! I have some Guajillo in my garden almost ready. This recipe will put them to good use. Thanks for posting. Jim
bhut jolokia peppers??? I think a disclaimer may be in order here..LOL Better have goggles and a face mask on when you toss those babies into some hot oil....;-)~

Took a bit to find the reference to bhut jolokia peppers. Think jimrug1's disclaimer suggestion mabe correct. I'd assume anyone who obtained bhut jolokias knows what they are, however.
This one is going into my receipe file.

I started doing Habenaro and Bhut Jolokia over a year ago when my blood pressure spiked way up. Brought it down 40 points and have eaten or drank it in some form since. I add it literally to everything I eat-even watermelon. Thanks for the contact Cowboy.

This sounds just delicious! Thank you for the new soup recipe to try! (Do hot peppers really help bring down blood pressure?)
