Ingredients

How to make it

  • For the bars, cream together butter and both sugars.
  • Add eggs, mixing in well; stir in bananas.
  • Dissolve soda in sour cream.
  • Add flour, salt and cinnamon to batter alternately with sour cream mixture, until batter is well blended.
  • Pour batter into greased 10x15 baking sheet.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Cool completely before frosting.
  • For frosting, mix all ingredients together with electric mixer (using a mixer will tend to give you a fluffier frosting than mixing by hand).
  • Spread over cooled bars.

My grandson, now 2, LOVES bananas! I'll have to make these for him...as well as those yummy frosted banana cookies I commented (twice...LOL!) about.
I'm not sure which I will make first, but will let you know how he liked them.
    Thanks once again, Krum!

This sounds like another great banana treat from you. I was going to make your banana bread today, this one will be next!

I totally agree with "notyourmomma". I buy cream cheese in 3LB. bulk packages from Sams Club every other week! Here's a 5 for a wonderful alternative to useing up those over ripe bananas!

Sounds great! I like the idea of an option for the over-the-hill nanners. I don't always feel like another loaf of banana bread. Thanks for the post!

I consider cream cheese a food group of it's own merit and I always have a banana or two that can be used, this sounds wonderful. Thanks for the post, dear. Yummy.
