My Nannys Mac and Cheese

This cheesey, custardy mac n' cheese is simple and satisfies that comfort food need we all get.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. macaroni - cooked shopping list
- 2 tsp. butter shopping list
- 2 eggs - beaten shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 2 tsp. dry mustard shopping list
- 2 cups whole milk shopping list
- 6 cups Sharp Cheddar - shredded shopping list
- Fresh Grated nutmeg to taste (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Stir butter and eggs in hot macaroni.
- Add cheese to macaroni mixture. Stir to combine.
- Put macaroni mixture into a large greased casserole.
- In small bowl mix salt and dry mustard with 2 Tbl. hot water until dissolved. Add hot water mixture to milk and stir.
- Pour milk mixture over the mac and cheese.
- Top with a bit of fresh grated nutmeg if desired.
- Bake uncovered at 350 for 45 minutes.
