Super Soft And Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 sticks salted butter
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 375.
  2. Melt butter and set aside.
  3. Whisk together flour, salt and baking soda.
  4. Mix together melted butter and sugars.
  5. Add the egg, yolk, milk, vanilla, and almond extracts.
  6. Mix until well combined.
  7. Slowly add flour mixture until thoroughly combined.
  8. Stir in chocolate chips.
  9. Chill dough for about 30 minutes.
  10. Scoop onto parchment lined baking sheet.
  11. Bake about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Rotating baking sheet during baking for even browning.
  13. Let cool.

Love the addition of the almond extract! Yum!


This recipe was really good, w/ the changes I made. I didn't add almond extract, and used four different types of chocolate chips (chocolate/ pb, chocolate/caramel, white, and semi-sweet... that's what I had on hand.) I made two sheets of them, and thought they were too thin, so I added 1/4 cup more flour, they were PERFECT!!! It is exactly as the description describes. They are soft and chewy and stay that way! Thanks, MrsW!
