Sometimes You Feel Like A Caramel Nut Pound Cake

- 1 cup butter or margarine shopping list
- 1/2 cup shortening shopping list
- 1 box(1 lb) light brown sugar shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 5 eggs shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 3 cups sifted flour shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1 cup finely chopped nuts shopping list
How to make it
- Grease & flour a 10in. tube pan.
- Cream butter, shortening and brown sugar thoroughly.
- Gradually add granulated sugar.
- Continue creaming (whip it...now whip it good...oh excuse me!!)
- Add eggs, one at a time. Beating well after each addition.
- Sift the dry ingredients.
- Add alternately with milk...beginning & ending with flour
- Add vanilla & nuts and blend well.
- Pour into 10-inch greased & floured tube pan.
- Bake at 325 degrees F for 90 minutes or until cake tests done.
- Cool 15 minutes before turning out of pan
