How to make it

  • Dip mushrooms into milk then dip into pancake mix.
  • Fry in deep fat at 375 for 2 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Drain well on absorbent paper towels.

    This is what I do for nearly all my veggies, Chef Meow....it's so versatile....add cayenne, salt and fresh ground pepper, lemon pepper, herbs, BBQ blend, etc, and you can add a LOT of spice without it being overpowering. One other hint, though, some of the baking mixes are sweeter than others which can drastically alter the taste, so check your mix before mixing up a batch. (I find Bisquick not as sweet as Jiffy, for example) Great addition to the site!
