Ingredients

How to make it

  • Boil water in medium pan
  • Drop cloves of garlic into water and, when it starts to boil again, blanch 3 minutes if you really like garlic and 4 minutes if you like a milder garlic flavor
  • Drain and put into cold water
  • Set aside
  • Mix Bisquick, egg, beer, parsley and salt in mixing bowl
  • Heat oil to 375 (I don't have a thermometer so I just stick the end of a wooden spoon into the oil and if it creates bubbles around the whole end of the spoon, it's 375)
  • Pat garlic dry of water
  • Dip each clove into batter
  • Add to oil and cook until golden brown
  • Remove from oil and drain on paper towels
  • Sprinkle Parmesan over garlic
