I have six plants I nursed from seed. It's not nasty as previously stated...it has to be cooked right. I love pickled okra,& fried okra especially how you guys fix it down South. Mine is a North South Hybrid...I will be using your recipe for pickling some of my bounty.

I love to eat pickled okra with pinto beans and cornbread! I bought some at the supermarket and it wasn't nearly as good as the homemade stuff.

Hey Bean...I popped open my first jar with great anticipation....so good, tangy and crisp. My Sister is flying up from FLA. next weekend. She will be so excited to see what I've done with your recipe. We are great pickled okra fans. My plants are giving me another flush of okra and I'm going to fry that bunch up and let 2 pods go to seed. Thanks for posting this one I enjoyed everything in the process.

Hey Beanie, my sister loved the pickled okra. She likened me to my Grandmother, which is the best compliment I could get. I made 3 or 4 recipes from the site and filled her week with good food, she gained 7 lbs. This recipe is a keeper for prosperity!
