How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Crust
  • Add flour, sugar and butter to mixing bowl
  • Mix well
  • Pat firmly into 9 x 13-inch pan
  • Sprinkle pecans on top
  • Caramel layer:
  • In heavy pan over medium heat, cook butter and sugar, stirring constantly until it comes to boil
  • Boil 1 minute
  • Pour over crust
  • Bake 23 to 25 minutes
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips over top
  • Let melt a little
  • Take knife and swirl chocolate to marbleize
  • Cool completely before cutting

    On the caramel....do you buy a jar of caramel like you use on top of ice cream or do you melt dowm caramel candies? Thanks
