I really love dirty rice and like that you are using the giblets in your recipe. I think they are essential to that true dirty rice taste. Thanks so much for sharing your family recipe! :) Vickie

An old favorite! Thanks for sharing. :)

Yes, what Vickie said, exactly! The geniune taste isn't there without giblets....thanks so much!

This is a winner in my book :)

Good Morning...!
O My Goodness...What a Great way to start a day...
reading your recipe for 'Dirty Rice'! This is just the way I remember my friends in New Orleans making it when I lived in the city and enjoyed eating their meals! In fact they would make up this 'Dirty Rice' and take 'HUGE' containers of it to the 'local' Mardi Gras parade route and 'serve it up'!!!Wonderful memories...as I now live in Southern California!...You are correct about the 'giblets'...it is Not 'Dirty Rice' without those!
Also 'True' 'Dirty Rice' does NOT have tomato sauce as one of the ingredients!...So said my friends in New Orleans!!!
Thank-you so much for sharing a "5"FORK!!!!!
much-loved recipe!
