This recipe was given to my mother by a Chef. Tasty, light, and the 'yorkies' literally DO melt in your mouth... a perfect combination with roast beef!

I've been to the Royal York Hotel many times in the past and I know how delicious their Yorkshire Puddings are. Thanks so much for posting this recipe. It's almost identical to my mother's recipe except she used beef drippings instead of cooking oil. You've got my "5" forks!

I love yorkshire pudding but when I make it it's always a hit or miss as far as the rise, the texture. I just don't what I'm doing wrong. Any helpful hints you'd like to impart to me? :)

A helpful hint for yorkshire.... Heat the pan before you put in oil and mix!!!! It also helps them to come out of the pan better. My great grandmother gave me the same recipe and i've been making them for years nice to see it posted here!!
