How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Butter 6 ramekins ( 6 ounce size)
  • Sprinkle the butter ramekins with granulated sugar and tap out excess sugar
  • In a double boiler set over barely simmering water, melt the butter and chocolate and then remove from heat.
  • Beat eggs in a mixer with the whisk on low speed for about 2 minutes
  • Continue to mix and add the chocolate mixture to the eggs, mix for another two minutes
  • Add the flour and confectioners sugar to the mix and beat for 30 seconds or until well mixed on Medium speed
  • Pour the batter in the ramekins leaving about a 1/4 of space from the top.
  • Bake on a cookie sheet for 18 to 20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and turn upside down onto a plate immediately.
  • Centers will be soft.

    Ahhhh...so good and rich! This was Valentines Day dessert and it was worth it! Rich, chocolatey and delicious...needs no further explanation...a must try. I made mine quite large and used 10 oz. glass custard cups buttered and dusted with sugar. I had no problems with inverting the cakes....loved these, thanks Sanzoe!
