I made this to use in Asheats biscuits and it worked great! Yay! Now I can have low fat biscuits!!! Thanks Chezglenn! I hope you like my photo! :)

Right! And I bet you didn't paste the 1/4 cup butter on the biscuits either! ;)
This biscuit mix recipe works better than the one I have been using. Maybe I'm a convert.

I'm liking this recipe better all the time. On my second batch now, although I'm cutting fat into the recipe when I make the biscuits.
Lowfat or not, I'm getting good results.

The only drawback is that the biscuits spread out more than I desire. I'm trying to get them to grow more vertical with limited success.

For more rise, try adding some cream of tartar

This is great!! Bisquick can be very expensive, why buy it when you have all the ingredients on hand....I added it to the Fabulous Lofat Foods group..Big high five!!

I've been buying the Bisquick Healthy Heart mix and I like that one. Also, in some stores you can find Jiffy brand's Biscuit Mix that has been around since I think the 50's or more. It comes out as good as the Bisquick too.
Another note on this versatile mix: If you happen to have the book "Make A Mix" by HP Books they have several mixes that they term as Master Mixes in there that I'm sure all of you would like too.
