Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a very large bowl...combine cabbages, onions, peppers, and carrots
  • in a medium saucepan combine sugar, vinegar, oil, salt, celery seeds, dry mustard, and black pepper.
  • stirring frequently, cook over medium-high heat about 6 minutes or until it comes to a boil
  • pour hot vinegar mixture over the cabbage mixture.
  • toss until vegetables are well coated
  • cover and chill at least 8 hours

    I give it a 5 'cause I've made this before...it is soooo good! Also, after the coleslaw is scooped out of the dish, the rest of the dressing is discarded, so while it looks like a lot of sugar, you don't actually consume it all.
