Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix the marinade and let stand.
  • Cut the pork roast into 1-inch pieces (small, so as to increase the grilling surface). Slide onto potatoe stakes.
  • Marinade the pork skewers for at least 20 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • Grill, basting often.
  • The idea is to build up a caramel coating on the outside of the pork.
  • Serve with your side-dish of choice.

Wow! I feel like I know you rottman - our food tastes (and geographical living haunts) seem to line up. Tx - am going to make this with one more Indiana summer weekend coming up; the grills still open!

The key to this recipe is keeping the heat on the low side (it's great on a hibachi) so that you can keep basting the meat on the grill. It adds sweetness to the pork. Hope you enjoy it.

Hahaha... "extra beer" isn't this an oxymoron?

    Another beer, yes ;-)

Chicagoans sure do know a thing or two about cooking! This sounds wonderful, thanks so much for sharing. I may not be as generous with the actual food though! LOL!! Yes, I DO realize this is a 4-6 pound roast. LOL!
