Creme Brulee French Toast

- 1 stick butter shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 2 T maple syrup shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon rum extract shopping list
- 2 loaves French bread or challah bread cut into 1 inch cubes. shopping list
- 9 eggs shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups half and half shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 4 teaspoons Grand Marnier or Amaretto shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
- Melt butter, brown sugar maple syrup and rum extract in saucepan.
- Pour melted mixture into the bottom of prepared baking dish.
- Place bread cubes in baking dish on top of melted mixture.
- Whisk together remaining ingredients.
- Pour over bread.
- Garnish with a little sugar and cinnamon on top.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- Let dish come to room temperature.
- Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.
- Serve with warm maple syrup and/or strawberries or raspberries.
