How to make it

  • Preparation:
  • break ends off beans and snap into bite size pieces
  • clean anslice mushrooms about 1/8 thich
  • peel and slice garlic into thin pieces
  • ------------------------------
  • Bring to boil a large pot of water with salt
  • this dish takes a bit more salt than usual but adjust to your taste
  • boil 3-4 minutes as you want them a bit crunchy
  • strain into a bowl of ice water to keep color
  • ------------
  • In a skillet melt butter
  • saute garlic and mushrooms a few minutes (not too done)
  • add green beans
  • splash of white wine (optional)
  • salt and ground pepper to taste
  • plate
  • add sesame seeds
  • Serve
  • -----------
  • That;s it! Enjoy!

    I have to agree with you on the regular green bean casserole, it's never been one of my favorites. This looks good though.
