Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 packages frozen spinach, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • Garlic pressed or chopped

Directions
  1. Slice and saute mushrooms in 2 tablespoons butter.
  2. Cook spinach, and drain well; place in bottom of shallow casserole. Sprinkle with salt, onions and melted butter.
  3. Layer 1/2cup grated cheese over spinach.
  4. Add mushrooms.
  5. Sprinkle with garlic pieces and remaining cheese.
  6. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees, or 325 degrees in a pyrex baking dish.
  7. This can be made a day before and stored, covered, in the refrigerator and baked right before serving.
