Ingredients

1 stick butter

1 large jalapeno pepper, seeded, finely chopped

1/4 cup honey

1/8 tsp. cayenne

Directions

Heat butter in saucepan until melted

Stir in jalapeno

Bring to simmer

Stir in honey and cayenne

Bring to simmer again

Remove from heat

Let cool briefly

Drizzle over corn bread or muffin

A not nice man who refused to give me his recipe said there was honey in his cornbread. It was very dense and moist. I secretly (so I thought) listened to his converstions and picked up that there was creamed corn in it too. I could see that there were green chilis in it too. I hate secret recipes. Maybe he used this glaze?
