French Onion-pork Chop Skillet Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 boneless pork chops (1-1/2 lb.), 1/2 inch thick
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pkg. (6 oz. ) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken
  • 1-1/2 cups hot water
  • 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese

Directions
  1. Heat large nonstick skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium-high heat.
  2. Add chops and onions; cook 10 min. or until chops are cooked through (160°F), stirring onions occasionally and turning chops over after 5 min.
  3. Transfer chops to plate; keep warm.
  4. Continue cooking onions 5 min. or until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add worcestershire sauce to skillet; mix well.
  6. Reduce heat to low.
  7. Return chops to skillet; spoon onion mixture over chops.
  8. MIX stuffing mix and hot water.
  9. Spoon stuffing mixture around edge of skillet; sprinkle with cheese. Cover. Cook 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

This was in my recent Kraft Food and Family issue. It looked very good and it was! The one thing I don't get is why they (Kraft) always say to use the chicken flavor stuffing in all their recipes, when they make other flavors that might be more appropriate. I used the pork flavor stuffing because that made more sense to me - it was delicious! Great post. - Natalie
