Baked Praline Popcorn Crunch

From my Madison County cookbook from St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winterset, Iowa. This is a delicious crunchy, sweet, buttery popcorn. Great for the holidays. Servings depend on how much you munch before packaging it up.
Ingredients
- 1 c. butter shopping list
- 2 c. brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 6 qt. popped popcorn shopping list
- 1 1/2 c. pecan halves shopping list
- 1 c. sunflower nuts (meats only) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
- Bring butter, sugar, syrup, and salt to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in soda and vanilla. Pour syrup over mixture of corn, nuts, and pecans in a large bowl. Mix well,
- Bake in 2 large shallow pans or one large roasting pan for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
