How to make it

  • COOK PASTA IN LARGE POT SALTED WATER
  • DRAIN PASTA AND SET ASIDE
  • COOK BACON OVER MEDIUM HEAT, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY, UNTIL BROWNED AND CRISP, THEN USING A SLOTTED SPOON, REMOVE BACON TO A PAPER TOWEL PLATE AND DRAIN
  • DISCARD ALL BUT 2 TABLESPOONS BACON GREASE
  • PLACE THE PAN WITH THE BACON GREASE BACK ON THE STOVE OVER LOW HEAT AND STIR IN FLOUR
  • COOK 1 MINUTE
  • GRADUALLY WHISK IN THE MILK AND SEASON WITH HOT SAUCE, DRY MUSTARD, SALT AND PEPPER
  • COOK UNTIL THE SAUCE IS SMOOTH UNTIL SLIGHTLY THICKENED, WHISKING CONSTANTLY, ABOUT THREE MINUTES.
  • ADD CHEESE AND STIR UNTILTHE CHEESE MELTS COMPLETELY
  • STIR IN THE COOKED MACARONI AND COOK 3 MINUTES, OR UNTIL HEATED THROUGH
  • STIR IN BACON
  • EAT

    Not 'cher average Kraft Mac N Cheese!!! I've got two kids that love KMC, as a result, I'm sick of mac-n-cheese... But THIS!!! I would Eat, Sam I Am... :)
