Backyard Shrimp Fest

- 1/2 cup "Old Bay" seafood seasoning shopping list
- 2 tablespoons salt shopping list
- 4 quarts water shopping list
- 1 (12 ounce) can beer shopping list
- 8 medium red potatoes, each cut into quarters shopping list
- 2 large sweet onions, peeled and cut into wedges shopping list
- 2 pounds smoked sausage, cut into 2 inch pieces shopping list
- 8 ears fresh corn, each broken in half shopping list
- 4 pounds large shrimp, unpeeled shopping list
- melted butter and/or seafood cocktail sauce shopping list
How to make it
- In 8 quart stock pot, bring "Old Bay" seasoning, salt, water and beer to a boil.
- Add potatoes and onions and cook over high heat 8 minutes.
- Add smoked sausage and cook over high heat 5 minutes.
- Add corn and cook 7 minutes.
- Add shrimp and cook 4 minutes.
- Drain and pour into 1 huge or 2 large bowls.
- Sprinkle with additional "Old Bay" seasoning if desired.
- Provide empty bowls or pails for shrimp shells.
