This is my favorite dish at my favorite Mexican restaurant. I looked up several different variations of this recipe before choosing this one. The instructions are easy to follow and this dish is superior to any I've eaten in several different Mexican restaurants. My boyfriend and I LOVE it. Latinfoodie I'm a big fan!

I'm assuming the d'arbols are dried? I've never seen a fresh one and if you do use a fresh one what's a similar pepper?

This sounds delicious. And, of course, you can always vary the spice level for kids.

I'd have to cool it down some with the heat because of stomach problems, but I've never had shrimp cooked like this. Great recipe!
