Melted Witches
From dmajor 15 years agoIngredients
- 1 package Oreo cookies (I use the ones with mint in the middle) shopping list
- 1 package of semi sweet chocolate chips shopping list
- 2 packages of white chocolate chips shopping list
- 6 teaspoons of shortening shopping list
- pencil pretzels shopping list
- bugles shopping list
- shredded coconut shopping list
- yellow food coloring shopping list
How to make it
- Melt semi sweet chocolate with 3 teaspoons of shortening in a pot while stirring over low heat until melted.
- Melt white chocolate chips with the other 3 teaspoons of shortening in another pot over low heat, stirring well until melted.
- Place sheets of foil on flat surface.
- Spoon out a little of the white chocolate (about a large tablespoon) to form base.
- Spoon a dab of the melted semi chocolate on top of white chocolate puddle.
- Dip a bugle (I make sure I use the ones that are have a nice opening at the bottom of the bugle)into semi sweet melted chocolate.
- Place chocolate bugle on top of chocolate dab(you may need to hold it for a couple seconds to help it stand up)
- In a plastic baggie, place 1 1/3 cups coconut and 6 drops of yellow food coloring in side, close and shake until coconut is colored a nice yellow.
- Lay a pretzel stick on white puddle, place a small amount of the coconut on top of one end of the pretzel to form the broom.
- Let sit until completely dried(about 15 minutes)
- I made a little poem to go with these which you can use if you like or make up your own little saying.
- POEM:
- A chocolate witch went flying one Halloween night
- Looking to give kids a chocolaty fright!
- But good boys and girls would have none of that
- So, they melted the witch, her broom, and her hat!
