Crispy Crab Balls
From rottman 15 years agoIngredients
- 1 package OLD BAY® crab cake Classic Mix shopping list
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise shopping list
- 1 pound fresh crabmeat, drained and cartilage removed shopping list
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- tartar sauce shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl, combine Crab Cake Mix and mayo. Add crabmeat and gently toss until well blended. Shape into 24 balls.
- Fry in batches in hot oil until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Serve with tartar sauce.
- My notes: Rather than gently tossing, break the crab meat into fine strands. Fry to a crispy, deep brown color. Serve with tartar sauce, straight up or cocktail sauce. I've hade them with both, and they are delicious.

Rottman! Love the easy idea for crab balls. I never would have thought of using the mix! Good to know the shortcut is a good one. Thanks.
