Ingredients
  • 1 cups cabbage shredded or 1 large bag of shredded cabbage
  • 4 medium cut into sticks... green, red or yellow apples.
  • 1/2 cup of dried cranberries
  • 1/2 walnuts halves or chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup of mayonnaise or thick plain yogurt
  • 1 TB fresh lemon juice (you can use less for a sweeter slaw)
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  • *You can substitute dried cherries, apricots or even raisins for the cranberries.

Directions
  1. Mix all of the ingredients and serve. You can chill this before serving or eat it at room temperature.

Yummmm.... Love this slaw! Gonna try to make it with pears, if you don't mind. We have a large pear tree, loaded with fruit and I'm trying to use them up somehow.
