Ingredients

How to make it

  • Line a 13x9x2 pan with aluminum foil, extending foil past sides of pan.
  • Spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Beat together the eggs, baby food, brown sugar, canola oil, vanilla extract, baking powder, cinnamon, allspice and salt.
  • On low speed, beat in the flour until blended.
  • Stir in carrots, raisins and pecans.
  • Spread batter in pan evenly.
  • Bake 22 to 24 minutes.
  • Remove from oven.
  • Cool completely.
  • Cut into bars.

    I'm with you on carrot cake, jett. I guess if we cut these small enough, they could be bite-sized treats and then we could eat MORE of them. Thanks,

    There used to be a recipe in the cake file simply called Baby Food Cake. Julia, that cake was so moist and tasty! Alas, it's gone and I wish I could find it again. If I do, I'll share with you. Thanks for the five, my friend.

    You go, girl. I've never had much luck with carrot cake either, even though everyone always says it's sooo easy. I hope that we BOTH enjoy this recipe, spoilme!
