Poor Gals Easy Shepards Pie
From hunnee 15 years agoIngredients
- 1 pd extra lean ground beef shopping list
- 1 tsp oregano shopping list
- 1 tsp tyme shopping list
- 2 spicey cooked Italian sausages or omit them shopping list
- half and onion chopped shopping list
- 2 cloves of garlic minced shopping list
- 2 stalks of celery chopped shopping list
- 1 can of cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup shopping list
- frozen mixed veggies shopping list
- grated cheese shopping list
- paprika shopping list
- 8 large potatoes mashed shopping list
How to make it
- on med. heat, fry the chopped celery stalks until done, hmm about 9 mins or so.
- cook beef on just over med. heat cook a few minutes
- than add the 1 tsp oregano and tyme to the cooking beef
- add the chopped onion and minced garlic to beef and finish cooking till done.
- set the other burner to high and boil some water, add the mixed frozen veggies and cook until done, about 10 min. or so.
- Drain and set aside.
- preheat oven to 350
- cook cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup but dont use full can of water, use half or so, so its kind of thick but not too thick.
- mix the cream soup in with the extra lean beef and add mixed veggies. If your using the spicey italian sausage cut up into very small chunks and add.
- In a baking pan add the beef mixture and place the mashed potatoes on top.
- sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the potatoes, I use mozza and cheddar cheese.
- sprinkle some paprika over the cheese
- add some salt and pepper on top of paprika if desired.
- than voila bake for 30 mins or so, depending on the oven you might have to add a tin foil so the cheese wont burn. Sometimes I put it on broil for the last few mins. Turns out pretty nice.
- I aplogise for not giving a baking dish size, I'm still new at this, I just use what I have.
