Ingredients
  • 1 pd extra lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp tyme
  • 2 spicey cooked italian sausages or omit them
  • half and onion chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 2 stalks of celery chopped
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup
  • frozen mixed veggies
  • grated cheese
  • paprika
  • 8 large potatoes mashed

Directions
  1. on med. heat, fry the chopped celery stalks until done, hmm about 9 mins or so.
  2. cook beef on just over med. heat cook a few minutes
  3. than add the 1 tsp oregano and tyme to the cooking beef
  4. add the chopped onion and minced garlic to beef and finish cooking till done.
  5. set the other burner to high and boil some water, add the mixed frozen veggies and cook until done, about 10 min. or so.
  6. Drain and set aside.
  7. preheat oven to 350
  8. cook cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup but dont use full can of water, use half or so, so its kind of thick but not too thick.
  9. mix the cream soup in with the extra lean beef and add mixed veggies. If your using the spicey italian sausage cut up into very small chunks and add.
  10. In a baking pan add the beef mixture and place the mashed potatoes on top.
  11. sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the potatoes, I use mozza and cheddar cheese.
  12. sprinkle some paprika over the cheese
  13. add some salt and pepper on top of paprika if desired.
  14. than voila bake for 30 mins or so, depending on the oven you might have to add a tin foil so the cheese wont burn. Sometimes I put it on broil for the last few mins. Turns out pretty nice.
  15. I aplogise for not giving a baking dish size, I'm still new at this, I just use what I have.

Fabulous! another keeper!

Looks good, Hunnee! Italian sausage is one of my very favorite meats!

I was thinking that maybe it would be worth the try to add 'garlic' mashed potatoe's instead of the regular mashed spuds on top :D

This sounds great I would like to try your suggestion of garlic mashed potatoes I bet it would taste good.
