Good recipe. I posted this same one last month when somebody asked if anyone knew the recipe. It is the actual recipe. I know because I worked (years ago) when I was in high schol making these things. There were several other flavors, all made the same way. Dairy Queen now owns this recipe as a result of purchasing the company.

That is not the recipe. I can't believe someone who worked at an Orange Julius restaurant said that it is.
This makes a tasty drink, but using fresh milk and liquid vanilla, will NOT result in the same consistency of a real Orange Julius. If you really have watched them make the drink, at an Orange Julius restaurant, the put in orange juice, water (with sugar in it), ice and a POWDER. What's in the powder is powdered egg whites, vanilla powder, and possibly powdered milk.
I use powdered egg whites and vanilla powder, along with orange juice, water, sugar and ice, and it looks, feels and taste like a REAL Orange Julius.
