How to make it

  • Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Set aside.
  • Cream margarine and sugar.
  • Blend in eggs, milk and vanilla.
  • Add flour mixture and blend thoroughly.
  • Pour 2/3 of batter into greased tube pan.
  • Add syrup and baking soda to remaining batter and pour over white batter in pan. DO NOT MIX.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  • Place a sheet of aluminum foil loosely on top of pan.
  • Continue baking for 25 minutes.
  • Cool completely before removing from pan.

    I have this recipe. Most marble cakes are dry. This recipe is so moist and delicious. Thank you for posting it.
