Ginger Snaps with Oatmeal

- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup quick cooking oats shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves shopping list
- 1/2 cup shortening shopping list
- 1/4 cup molasses shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Stir together first 6 ingredients and 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Blend in shortening, molasses and egg
- Beat well with electric mixer for 2 minutes
- Form into 1-inch balls
- Roll in sugar; place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375 degrees F for 8 - 10 minutes
- Let stand 1 minute; cool on rack
