Oh yum. My dad used to make us S O S for breakfast when I was little. Yours sounds much better than his attempts ;)

Love this, great post, you have my 5-Happy New Year.

Oh I Remember SOS, My Mom and Dad Made It Too!!!
Great One!!!

SOS...awesome! We also used the evaporated milk...in this and plain cream gravy too. It makes the dish...great post, thanks!

This is really one of my favorites! My mom used to make it with "chipped beef".

Yeah, that was something that was always around in my house growing up (canned chipped beef). My mother used to put the chipped beef into country gravy and pour it over biscuits or mashed potatoes. :o)

Never tried SOS with evap milk - must give it a try...my husband is an SOS freak, too, so I know he will love this one - good comfort food!

I LOVE SOS! My dad always made it too! He made it with sausage too for a wonderful sausage gravy with biscuits. Mmmmmmmmmm! My kids even love this!

Great comfort food sos was that dried salty beef chip beef we called it.
Anyway this sounds much much better .
Five forks and a smile :)

No matter what type of meat you use (chipped, ground, etc.) it still comes out looking like its title. LOL

I've never had this, but it sounds delicious. I could even make it lowfat(which is the way I have to cook) by using lean ground beef and skim evaporated milk. Can't wait to try it...thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
